This meeting was dedicated fully to the skill of ‘Creating Agreements’. We covered here the reasons for it, the principles of agreements and how they are different from contracts and from just clarification of expectations. We discussed a few examples of creating agreements with children vs. grown-ups and how to think about creating an agreement in the workplace.
You are invited to post your comments and your live experiences and stories about you creating agreements with others – post your comments below.
Hi, Rafi. This is Linghui. I just watched the part I missed last week. I want to share what I feel is interesting:
1. The white is books and apps. I do love the app part, it is more like an smart phone operation systems, you have all the information and as well as app to operate those information to serve your purpose.
2. You cant make an agreement with people whose Green and yellow part are blocked. Is there any apps to melt their shell and open to green and yellow and to make their alive?
3. The foundation of an agreement is to agree not to interfere with other people’s own system. I do think this fundamental agreement is very important and the key to achieve an agreement. How to make an agreement to agree not to interfere with other people’s own system. And only this way, we can cooler down the blue defense.
4. I have some culture barriers here to make an agreement. One of the major business culture difference between the western and the Chinese is, Chinese people really like “yellow”, which is the feeling that everyone are in the same page and are family to each other. It’s kind of “harmony” and “face” combination. So usually we can not put all those things on the table at the beginning, only say we are going to work together. But later, there will be a lot of issues cuz of no agreement. We value the the superficial harmony more than seeing the truth of real disagreement. How to deal with this?
Hi Linghui,
These are great insights and questions. We shall discuss it on our upcoming meeting. There are very practical ways to go about your question 4 – how to create agreements even if this is not part of the culture – the main two keys are: a. to acknowledge the fact that we didn’t do it in the past, or that it is not usually part of the culture (and by this I mean any culture – including an organizational culture of a particular company, business of even school), and b. To offer very good reasoning about why we are going to do it now.
Again – we shall work on it on our next zoom meeting.
Thank you for posting your comment

Rafi:
Thank you for your coming to working with us. I want to share with my journey related to slow motion.
Now every day I start my day with slow motion, it helps me to change my life in so many area:
1. After 15 mins slow motion, it automatically help me to bring more consciousness to my daily action, like walking, swimming. I had issues with hunchback and anterior pelvic tilt, now after I slow down, I can bring more consciousness to correct them when walking. For swimming part, I start to breathe on both side. It is not as fast as the old one, but it helps more balance both side and strength my left side, even I inhale a lot of water, but it’s fun.
2. It helps me flow my day. I used to conduct my day with very red energy. But the peaceful and calm slow motion brings allow me slow my day with all those activities without feeling a lot stress and pushed by life. So I am so happy to enjoy this special feeling of life.
3.It helps me think. I used to think in a bombing way, it goes everywhere without capability to focus and cuz the quick thinking, I need to move from one thing to another really fast. And it is really exhausted for me. But now after I slow down a little bit, I can start to think and analyze and decide to think and move and talk.
Can I strongly recommend this to everyone, like juggling ball
